Devised to Improvise.

In the jaws of dreams, thoughts begin to chew
Masticating on bitter strife, a knife cutting life
Tossing and turning as the choir starts churning
Paralyzed by the perils of uncertainty and fears
Not fear of the unknown, just a reflex of reality
A knee jerk reaction to a pale future encroaching
The acid reflux that makes Truth stick in the throat
Hard to swallow and hard to digest, truth burning
Like fire eaters, we singe our tongues on perversion
Our perverse nature has taken us to our labyrinths
Hiding behind obstacles and intersections like death
Hitting dead ends with the thrill of adrenaline surging
Fixated on the wiles and charms of our human nature
Taking the roller coaster ride, just for the thrills of it
Our equilibriums reeling and riveted to pending doom
Paying admission for the world to tell us where to go
Ticket takers and star gazers shaping our very destiny
Greed bears world wars and unemployment, our Hell
Dispelled by the scourge of tempters and temptations
Recklessly abandoning morality for a front row seat
Bidding on the mass destruction of our solar system
Rallying for the mobster mentality to start governing
Plugged into the iambic pentameter of double talk
Relishing the price of icon wear and permitting despair
Gleefully submerged in gluttony as millions are suffering
It is not the nightmare that I run from, it is the waking
It is all life that lacks luster because it cannot pretend
It cannot descend to destroy the virtues that must ascend
To remove oneself from this quagmire, this Hell upon earth
To understand that love is not folly and who deserves mirth
Love does not neutralize evil; it cannot sleep in its company
Love is not a powder puff to conceal the eyes of oppression
Love is a sword clashing in the hearts of the courageous
A knife masticating on strife and not swallowing its poison
The poisons of our life are the evils we willingly thirst for
Swallow evil and you will be emptied into Hell’s bowels
Evil is the absence of Truth and the willingness to deny Truth
In the terror of my nights, I rise to write, to dispel all evil.
To face the dawn with the certainty that God will deliver us
