Contridiction.

I anticipated for your smile, but a frown was all I bumped to.
I lingered for your voice, but silence was all I heard.
I looked for your eyes, but shadows were concealing it.
I gawped for your touch, but numbness was all I comprehended.
I suspected your warmth but the callousness hovered over.
I hindered for your simple glance but never did you look my way.
I listened to your singing but all I heard was mute.
I said hello, but a simple nod was all I noticed.
I waited for you, but you never came.
I waited for time, but never did it move.
I said no, but a yes was all you heard.
I said yes, but a simple no was you heard.
I valued all these moments but all I got was nothing.

I will not wallow or distort myself, for I am better than this, for I am capable of being much more self-reliant. For I’ll grow stronger and burn off my weakness; to never look back at as something as impeccable as you.
